Victoria announces new social media ‘demasking’ powers for accounts accused of vilification
Victoria has proposed laws allowing the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal to order social media and AI platforms to identify anonymous accounts accused of online vilification. Premier Jacinta Allan said the reforms aim to give families more ways to protect children online.
