The New York nurses replaced by AI: ‘It should concern every patient who cares about quality of care’
Montefiore hospital in New York City laid off 12 nurses who performed utilization review, according to their union, NYSNA. The union says AI-powered software replaced their work and alleges the hospital violated a contract won after a strike.
