Ash Koosha’s 75-minute drama Dreams of Violets, about Iran’s anti-government protests, is set to premiere at Tribeca after being made in weeks using AI-generated images and characters. Koosha says the film, based on journalism and eyewitness accounts, cost about $2,000 and could change low-budget filmmaking.
