Stanford Evo 2 AI model generates phages against E. coli
Stanford researchers used the Evo 2 generative AI model to design DNA sequences for nearly 300 bacteriophages. After synthesis and laboratory testing, 16 showed strong activity against E. coli, building on work with phage ΦX174.
