Standard Chartered to cut more than 7,000 jobs as it steps up AI use

Standard Chartered plans to cut more than 7,000 jobs over the next four years as it expands use of artificial intelligence. The bank says the changes will reduce back-office roles and move some staff into new positions as it seeks to improve profitability and compete more effectively.
