Show HN: I simulated closing the Strait of Hormuz on real oil trade data
A visualization and accompanying paper model global oil trade as a network of countries that consume and exchange oil. Using UN Comtrade data, it simulates how blocking bottlenecks such as the Strait of Hormuz affects reserves, trade responses, and prices over time.
