Pope Leo denounces ‘culture of power’ driving rise of AI
Pope Leo said AI’s rise is driven by a “culture of power” and should be governed by the “most rigorous” ethical constraints. In his first major encyclical, he also apologized for the Catholic Church’s delayed condemnation of slavery and warned of new forms of exploitation in the digital economy.
