Over-reliance on chatbots can diminish critical-thinking skills, study finds
A Massachusetts Institute of Technology study found that overreliance on chatbots may reduce critical-thinking skills and make it harder for people to identify misinformation on their own. The research notes that AI can help detect fake content, but depending on it too heavily may weaken users' judgment.
