Over half of Americans fear losing both their jobs and their independent thinking to AI, survey finds

Anthropic surveyed nearly 52,000 Americans about attitudes toward AI. The survey found 64% fear job losses and 56% worry about losing independent thinking, while daily AI users were less concerned. Most respondents still preferred not to use AI in their own workplace, even for tasks they think it can do.
