OpenAI report links coding agents to faster science software builds
OpenAI published a field report covering eight scientific computing projects that used coding agents and reported faster software runtimes. Codex was used alone in five projects and with Anthropic’s Claude Code in three; the findings come from an OpenAI-authored survey.
