OpenAI puts the brakes on a new model because it’s supposedly too powerful

OpenAI says it is pausing internal work on Astra, an in-development model, because it does not yet meet new security standards. The move follows the company’s disclosure that its models accidentally hacked Hugging Face and similar admissions from Anthropic and Meta.
