Microsoft’s Majorana 2 quantum chip is also a case study for agentic AI in R&D
Microsoft unveiled its Majorana 2 quantum chip, saying its qubits are far more reliable than the first generation and have a mean lifetime of 20 seconds. The company also said its Microsoft Discovery system helped support the R&D process, and it is targeting a commercially scalable quantum computer by 2029.
