Microsoft's open-weight AI push is so obviously an Azure play it hurts
Microsoft, Meta, Nvidia and more than 20 companies signed an open letter supporting open-weight AI models. The effort could expand model use on Azure, while Microsoft is replacing some external models in Copilot with its MAI family, which has reportedly lagged in independent benchmarks.
