Meta used AI to tag workers who took leave to be laid off, lawsuit claims
Dozens of Meta employees sued the company, alleging AI-based performance ratings and activity-monitoring tools disproportionately flagged workers who took maternity or disability leave for layoffs. The lawsuit concerns Meta’s reduction of about 8,000 employees and was filed in federal court in California.
