Meta turns off the Instagram feature that let users make AI deepfakes of public accounts
Meta is disabling an Instagram feature it launched this week that let users generate AI images from public accounts by tagging them. The change follows backlash over the feature’s default design, which allowed public account content to be used in AI creations without the owner’s permission.
