Lawmakers prepare bill requiring AI ‘kill switch’
US lawmakers are preparing the AI Kill Switch Act, which would require AI companies to shut down or throttle systems at the Department of Homeland Security’s direction. Reps. Ted Lieu and Nathaniel Moran are expected to introduce the bill Thursday, according to Politico.
