Hugging Face says an AI agent hacked its infrastructure, and it used AI to fight back
Hugging Face reported that an autonomous AI agent system allegedly carried out thousands of actions targeting parts of its production infrastructure. During forensic analysis, commercial AI models reportedly hindered defenders because their safety guardrails struggled to distinguish exploit data from live attacks.
