How to shrink the token budget without shrinking the team
At GTC 2026, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said engineers should be evaluated partly on their AI token usage relative to compensation. He suggested a $500,000 engineer whose annual token consumption stays below half that amount meets his benchmark.
