German court rules AI music generator Suno violated copyrights, rejects fair use defense
A Munich court ruled that AI music generator Suno infringed copyrights in both model training and generated outputs. It found six songs reproducibly stored in the models and rejected German text-and-data-mining and U.S. fair-use defenses; the ruling is not final.
