Fifa expanding AI use at World Cup to reduce amount of abuse seen by players
Fifa will expand its AI-based social media protection service at the 2026 World Cup to help reduce abusive messages directed at teams and players. The moderation tool, introduced after the 2022 tournament, is being offered free to football associations; the English FA has not said whether it will use it.
