Datacentres using 6% of electricity supply in UK and US, research says
An industry group says datacentres now use about 6% of electricity in the UK and US, and global data-centre energy use has risen 15% in two years. It warns that AI-driven power demand and nearly $1tn in annual datacentre investment are prompting community resistance.
