Datacentres drive emissions of Microsoft, Amazon and Google to half those of France
Microsoft, Amazon and Google reported a combined 119 million mTCO₂e of emissions in the financial year ending March 2026, nearly one-fifth higher than the previous year. The increase was driven largely by datacentre construction, while all three companies said they still aim to reach net zero.
