Chinese supercomputer leapfrogs best US machines to be ranked world’s fastest
China's LineShine supercomputer, based in Shenzhen, debuted at number one on the Top500 rankings released Tuesday, displacing the previously top-ranked US system El Capitan. It is the first time since 2017 that a Chinese machine has topped the list of the world's most powerful computers.
