ChatGPT now wants access to your bank account so it can tell you to stop ordering takeout
OpenAI is adding a personal finance feature to ChatGPT for U.S. Pro users, letting them connect bank accounts through Plaid for transaction-based analysis. The tool uses GPT-5.5 Thinking and is planned for wider release, though OpenAI says it is not a licensed financial advisor.
