ChatGPT and other AI bots made huge errors before Scottish election, study finds
A Demos study found AI chatbots gave incorrect or fabricated answers to 34% of questions about the Scottish election, including false scandals, invented candidates and wrong dates. The Electoral Commission called for new legal controls on election misinformation from AI platforms.
