Charities decry UK plan to use AI to assess age of young asylum seekers
A coalition of over 100 refugee children's organisations warns that the UK Home Office's plan to use AI facial age estimation for young asylum seekers could result in children being wrongly placed in adult detention facilities. The technology will be deployed for individuals with disputed ages.
