Big shake-up in Google’s AI team as DeepMind chief executive steps down
Demis Hassabis is stepping down as CEO of Google DeepMind and will become its chair and Alphabet’s chief scientist. DeepMind CTO Koray Kavukcuoglu will lead the lab as senior vice-president, while two senior engineers are leaving to launch a startup.
