Aurora 1.5: Extending open foundation models for weather and Earth-system applications
Aurora 1.5 extends Microsoft Research’s open foundation model for weather and Earth-system forecasting with 22 additional variables, hourly temporal resolution, and probabilistic ensemble predictions. The update is intended to improve use in weather, climate, and energy applications.
