Anthropic loosens Fable 5's biology restrictions but keeps the guardrails on for virology and toxicology
Anthropic reduced false positives in Fable 5’s biology safety filters by about 85%, allowing more biology-related queries to be handled by the model instead of Opus 5. Restrictions remain for sensitive dual-use areas including virology and toxicology.
